Hello everyone, it has been a year and a half since I have written anything on astrology. I have been moved to finally share somethings about our country from the perspective of the astrological cycles happening at this time.
After all the chart of the United States reflects us all as a people.
All astrology is about cycles and interpreting what those cycles are suggesting.
Everything in nature has its cycles, including our own lives. Some we work with and some cycles we resist. Either way, we do know things are changing whether or not we agree. Add us all up, and entire countries are also subject to the cycles of nature.
As an example, Pluto cycles represent several things. The first is a transformation as dramatic as a caterpillar to a butterfly; truly, not resembling what it once was.
Pluto also represents a time of remodeling, or an ending of a season, e.g., summer to autumn.
Usually we start having little glimpses of the change of seasons. We can feel them coming. That’s because bature changes when things have “peaked.” When something is saturated, this is when change must occur in nature—the opposite happens in order to keep balance.
Pluto cycles move slowly and deliberately—a friend of mine recently described Pluto activating his energy as, “like walking in quicksand.” It can take about two years to complete a makeover. If you have ever remodeled a home, you know how slow the process can be.
In the astrological chart of the United States, Pluto resides in the area of the chart representing money, gratitude, music and the arts as well as what is valuable to us. Since its inception, we started a cycle which takes approximately 248 years to come back to the original position.
In January of 2022, the new cycle of Pluto has begun. We have a new cycle since the United States of America was formed, regarding money, appreciation and looking at what we, as a people, put a value on.
Pluto energy embodies passion, death and rebirth.
What does this all mean for the United States?
We first have to include the astrological sign Pluto resides in. It is in the sign of Capricorn.
Capricorn represents the authority, leadership, determination, this way or that way, efficacy, control, rules, corporations, and for a country, Congress.
The Founding Fathers, inbued our country with these attributes and we have made modifications over the years. But the time has come to identify and acknowledge what still is working well regarding the attributes, and which ones need to evolve to continue to be effective for the country.
From the view of astrology, it is a time to ask ourselves some hard questions. We all have been getting the hints of what needs to change. Pluto coming back to the position it started in the United States chart, really embodies the time of looking at what is important to the lives of the people and the life of the country.
Pluto symbolizes the ultimate power of the Universe. Resistance to change doesn’t really work very well with Pluto energy. Being honest and simplifiying is far more productive. Ideas and rules which may have worked in the past but are no longer functional have to be dropped. Ideas and rules which are still functional but not working as well as they could need to be remodeled. Finally, new ideas and rules need to come forward.
In high summer, the trees are beautiful and give us great shade. But autumn is coming and even the prettiest of leaves come down. But there’s nothing to be worried about: The greatest part of Creation and the cycles of nature is that Spring always comes again…with a breath of new life.
